Lawson E Rudge senior is the founder of a dynasty of ceramic sculptors producing animal studies. Until his retirement he was Lecturer in Ceramic Art at Exeter College of Art and three of his children have followed in his footsteps. Working from his studio at his home in Devon, Lawson produces animal sculptures with a wonderful quirky humour, making use of his extensive knowledge of ceramic and decorative techniques.
